Blue Macaw is a family design team that creates what people need. We’ve spent the last decade griping over the phone about annoyances in our day-to-days and dreaming up solutions together. When we realized that our solutions were safer, better (and often cheaper!) than what was being marketed, we went to work. We currently focus on designing products and tools for pets and children and have a line of anti-insect products in development.

Dwight Anderson attended St. Olaf College and Luther Seminary. He is a father of four and a new grandfather and as such spends a big part of every day doing laundry – which gives him lots of time to think. He is the pastor of two churches and has consulted on projects for a Fortune 500 company.

Lydia Anderson studied evolution at Princeton University and obtained a masters in Science Journalism at New York University. They work in communications for a large health non-profit. In the past they worked as a multimedia journalist and editor for major news organizations and as a scriptwriter for science animations. They are an avid backpacker, baker, and bookfiend.
